Took 5 of my grand kids, plus 4 of my kids to the Living Planet Aquarium today. We had loads of fun. I was pleasantly surprised by how well done it was and how much there was to see and do. There were turtles, sharks, electric eels, jellyfish, seahorses many different kinds of fish, small alligators, snakes, frogs and otters.
However, my favorite was definitely the penguins! (Mr. Popper's Penguins was my favorite book as a kid.) They'd dive, swim and would jump a foot or so straight out of the water and onto the ledge. They were amazing to watch. One in particular was a show off, doing it over and over again to the delighted sounds of the audience. They were very cool to watch.
We had a lot of fun together. Then we went for frozen yogurt. Each one got to make their very own. Choosing their own toppings. Everyone had fun. Some had so much fun they were more than ready for a nap by the time we parted.
