NAILED BIG TIME! - Cauliflower Pizza Crust

I can't tell you how skeptical I was that this was going to work.  When I told Guy, the hubby, he said "what your telling me is you'll have a Failed post to write today." I said "probably but you never know it could be good, it has a couple of good reviews".  I am naturally optimistic, a glass half full kind a gal.  So I was willing to give it a try,  because Pizza is one of the four food groups.  One that I have  been doing without.  Do you know what it's like to eat just the toppings off a pizza?  It is less than satisfying, kind of depressing even.

This Cauliflower Pizza Crust Recipe is mmmm mmmm good.  It is tasty, crispy around the edges and delicious.  Just look at that picture.

I found the recipe on Pinterest, of course, looking for a Low-Carb and Gluten Free substitute for pizza dough. Pinterest Nailed it!

It is so easy to make, just a few minutes. I didn't have my food processor, so I used my KitchenAid grater attachment.  Worked great for "Ricing" the cauliflower.  The texture of the "dough" was looser than I expected but the cheese held it together after baking.  Mine stuck a little to the pan, even though I used Pam.  However, a nice metal spatula was able to pull it all up with no problems, cracks or tears.  I cut mine with scissors instead of using a pizza cutter.  I find it easier.

The original link to the recipe is located here:

To the left is her picture of the crust and finished product:

We added for toppings Pizza sauce, shredded cheese, fresh thinly sliced red onions, olives, pepperoni and little more cheese on the top in that order. Makes me want another slice just looking at it.

Mine turned out pretty close to hers. Here is mine below.

It was a hit, my daughter, husband and I LOVED IT!  This will be a "go to" staple for the pizza cravings.  I just want to thank dearcrissy.com for this wonderful recipe.  It is a keeper.

We all thought it would be great with a ranch dressing sauce, cooked chicken, spinach and artichoke hearts.  We'll try that next time. Have fun putting your favorite sauce and toppings on this new pizza crust.  If you don't tell them it's made from Cauliflower they will NEVER know!
